Nicolas Demoulin
Co-founder · Process & compliance
Nicolas has worked in enterprise systems since 1998, as a solutions architect, business analyst, project manager and senior consultant across the energy, automotive, financial, public, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. His specialisms are ERP systems, interfacing between systems that were never designed to talk to each other, and applied AI.
That background is not international trade, and Norlanta does not present it as such. What it is: twenty-five years of taking complex, rule-bound processes apart, finding the point where they break, and rebuilding them so they hold. Cross-border compliance work rewards precisely that discipline — the failures are almost never dramatic, they are a missing field on a declaration or a certificate named incorrectly.
He builds and runs Norlanta's regulatory research, documentation and systems side. Based in Trollhättan, Sweden. Works in Dutch, English, French, Swedish and Spanish.
Douglas Neal Stauffer
Co-founder · Sourcing & commercial
Douglas has more than four decades in commodities, sourcing, procurement, commercial packaging and international trade, with executive roles in the United States, Sweden and international markets. His particular strength is building supplier relationships and moving business across the divide between Western markets and China.
He served as CEO of Pacific Group Investments in Newport Beach, California, and later of Emerald Forest Sugar in Colorado, where his work covered international commodities purchasing, raw material sourcing, commercial packaging and industrial equipment procurement. He went on to lead China Wireless, extending that experience into cross-border commercial operations.
Douglas moved to Sweden in 2012 and founded Rånnums Hantverkscenter AB in 2015, which continues to operate. From 2018 he worked as a private consultant in Chinese commodities importation, advising on sourcing, procurement and supplier development. Based in Sweden. Active markets: United States, Mexico, Europe, Brazil and China.
Min Li
Partner · China market
Min brings more than three decades of business experience, most of it built in China. Between 1992 and 2009 she founded and ran a chain of restaurants there, work that turned on the things this business also turns on: supplier management, purchasing, negotiation, and keeping customers for years rather than transactions.
She then spent close to a decade in international business study and travel, across the United States, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Dubai and India, alongside formal study in enterprise management and business operations. She has also invested in China directly, including in real estate — experience that shaped a working understanding of risk, business cycles and why diversification matters.
Since 2019 her focus has been trade and business development between China and the Nordic countries, negotiating with buyers, suppliers, manufacturers and partners across languages and business cultures. She works on the principle that mutual success creates lasting relationships: when the customer succeeds first, the partners succeed next. At Norlanta she covers the China side — not only the market, but the people and relationships that make it work.
